Atwater Village is a residential neighborhood focused on farmer's markets and family ties, but is very fashion-forward. Well-balanced and vibrant, this LA river-adjacent neighborhood features upscale shopping and great dining options.

Spend a day here: Breakfast burritos at Tacos Villa Corona, trust me. Then, head to the Atwater Village Farmer's Market for fresh produce and specialty items. There are so many great afternoon shopping choices, you can't go wrong. Stop in at Woof Dog Boutique to spoil your pup, Sew LA for a crafty workshop, and Grain for custom furniture. Thank You for Coming provides a curated dinner experience, with new menus and events happening all the time. Spend the evening at Golden Road, a local brewery in an awesome warehouse location (dogs welcome!).

Demographics: In the 2008 census, the city estimated that the population had increased to 15,455, with the 34 as the median age for residents. The neighborhood was considered highly diverse ethnically. The breakdown was Latino, 51.3%; caucasian, 22.2%; Asian, 19.7%; African American, 1.4%; and others, 5.4%. The median yearly household income was $53,872.
